What can I do if my navigation system does not turn on?

  • First, try connecting your navigation system to your car’s accessory port to start charging the battery. After a few minutes, press the power button to turn it on.
  • If your navigation system doesn’t turn on, take it home and connect it to your computer using a USB cable, or by taking out the micro SD card. It should show up on your computer as a removable storage drive.
    • If it shows up in the File Explorer (or Finder on a Mac), verify if there are files and directories on it.
    • Download the latest maps for your region and copy these to the CONTENT/Map directory. Delete any previous maps for the same country.
  • If your navigation system still does not work, or if it didn’t show up on your computer, try placing a paperclip in the reset hole on the back for a few seconds, and then try turning it on again.
  • If your navigation system still does not work after un-plugging it from your computer and turning it on, replace all contents on the storage drive (or SD-card) with the contents of the US firmware or the Europe firmware. Note that the firmware file is about 7 GB in size and you’ll download it directly from the Internet Archive, so it may take a long time to get it downloaded.
  • If your navigation system still does not work after fully having replaced the firmware, contact the shop from which you’ve bought the device and ask for a refund or a replacement unit.

Which maps are available to download?

There are 2 sets of maps to download from this website:

You’ll only need to download one set of maps, depending on your region.

Do I need to download all maps?

It is recommended to download all maps for your region in order to have the most up to date route information.
If you’re short on time, or when there is not enough storage space available to place all new maps on your navigation system, you can just download the maps for the countries you’ll live in or will be visiting. In this case, only delete the previous maps for these countries, and keep all other maps installed.

The user manual references a file to download from Google Drive, but it is no longer available. Is this still available to download somewhere?

Yes: You can download the firmware file (either Navi.zip or US.zip) for your region from the Internet Archive:

Will there be any maps that are more recent than 2024?

Unfortunately, the official company behind Naviprovip, Lehwey and Jimwey is no longer in business, so new map updates will not be created anymore.
This website is a community-made website which restores downloads of the last available maps and the user manual, but is not owned by the business that sold the navigation systems.

I’ve sent an e-mail to the customer support e-mail address, which is mentioned in the user manual, but I’ve received no reply or only got an automated message. How can I get in contact with Naviprovip?

Unfortunately, the official company behind Naviprovip is no longer in business and emails sent to the customer care mail address cannot be answered anymore. This website is a community-made website which restores downloads of the last available maps and the user manual, but is not a business. Therefore, the creators of this website are not able to offer returns, repairs or other types of support. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to you.

If your navigation system does not work anymore and is still within your country’s legal warranty period, please contact the shop from which you’ve bought it and ask for a refund.
